I guarantee that he will live in this pair of shorts all summer. Tried and tested by our own kid who loves the simple elastic waist for easy pull on and off. When he's got things to do, and dirt and sand to dig, and trees to climb, this versatile bottom staple is awesome. The faux drawstring on the waist is a nice touch, as well as the Appaman monkey logo contrast stitching on the bum pocket. This one in robot grey, but also available in that most-forgiving of all colours -- vintage black, reef, and orange.
